For usage analysis, we use MATOMO in anonymized mode (IP masking) and without cookies.
Information on Additional Plugins and Tools:
We use tools on our website for interest-based analysis of user behavior. Below, we describe which technologies we use, why we use them, and what this means for you. To ensure transparency and clarity, we explain in our cookie banner and here in detail where and how your personal data may be processed. Through our cookie banner, you can give or withdraw your consent in a granular way. If you have given us your consent to use cookies, the lawfulness of the use of the data collected in this context is based on Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
The following description of tracking and analysis tools also outlines the respective purposes of processing and the data that is processed.
Google Tag Manager (GTM):
If you have given us your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – see the consent options in the Privacy Manager / “Cookie Manager”), we use Google Tag Manager (GTM) when you visit our website. GTM is a tag management system that allows website tags and scripts to be managed centrally. GTM itself does not analyze user data but loads other services such as analytics or marketing tools. Although GTM does not store personal data itself, loading the script establishes a connection to Google servers, during which personal data may be transmitted, in particular your device’s IP address, browser and device information, and usage behavior (e.g., clicks, page views), if associated tags are activated. The specific tools used are described in the following sections.
Data transmission via GTM is carried out to Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) or, within the European Economic Area, to Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google Ireland may also process this data for its own purposes and may transfer data to its parent company, Google LLC. In such cases, Google acts as a data controller. More information on data processing by Google can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
Facebook and Instagram:
Through GTM, analytics and marketing tools from Facebook and Instagram are also loaded. Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland) collects, among other things, your IP address and other information stored in cookies on your device. If you are currently logged into Facebook or Instagram, Meta can identify you and track your use of our website. This information is used to provide us with statistical data on the usage of our website and our Facebook/Instagram page. More information and instructions on how to exercise your rights with Facebook can be found here: https://about.meta.com/actions/protecting-privacy-and-security/.
LinkedIn:
Through GTM, analytics and marketing tools from LinkedIn are also loaded. LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland) collects, among other things, your IP address and other information stored in cookies on your device. If you are currently logged into LinkedIn, LinkedIn can identify you and track your use of our website. This information is used to provide us with statistical data on the usage of our website and our LinkedIn page. More information and instructions on how to exercise your rights with LinkedIn can be found here: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy?trk=content_footer-privacy-policy.
Google Maps:
If you have given us your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – see the consent options in the Privacy Manager / “Cookie Manager”), we use a Google Maps plugin to display our locations.
For this purpose, we process your current location data and show our location on an interactive map. In doing so, we transmit your location data and IP address to the mapping service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Within the European Economic Area, map data is provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google Ireland may also process this data for its own purposes and may transfer data to its parent company, Google LLC. In such cases, Google acts as a data controller. More information on data processing by Google can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
YouTube:
If you have given us your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – see the consent options in the Privacy Manager / “Cookie Manager”), we use a YouTube plugin to allow you to play videos.
For this purpose, Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4) collects various personal data (such as comments, chat messages, likes or dislikes, as well as your IP address or user ID) and provides us with anonymous statistics on general user behavior on our channel based on this data. The data collected during your visit to our pages may also be processed by Google for its own purposes. More information on which data Google processes for its own purposes and how you can exercise your rights with Google can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
