Wiener Messe und Congress GmbH
We, Wiener Messe und Congress GmbH, operate Vienna Congress & Convention Center – VIECON Messe Wien, Austria’s largest and most modern venue for congresses, conferences, trade fairs, and business events in the heart of Vienna.
As part of the Wien Holding Group, we stand for stability, a forward-looking approach, and sustainable site development.
Our mission is clear: to secure Vienna as a leading event location in the long term, strengthen its economic significance, and position it internationally as a premier destination for congresses and large-scale events.
A key role is played by Wiener Messe Besitz GmbH, the owner and manager of the exhibition grounds. As a subsidiary of WSE Wiener Standortentwicklung GmbH, it provides the infrastructural and structural foundations that enable VIECON to continue developing and growing as an innovative and sustainable event venue.
Our shared goal: a strong, modern, and internationally visible Congress & Convention Center for Vienna – and lasting, sustainable value for the entire region.

VIECON Brings the World to Vienna
VIECON positions itself as an internationally oriented event venue in the heart of Europe. The rebranding from Messe Wien to VIECON made this focus even more visible (“VIE” for Vienna and “CON” for Congress & Convention).
Thanks to modern infrastructure, excellent accessibility, and many years of experience with international event formats, Vienna ranks among the world’s leading congress cities. International trade fairs and congresses promote knowledge exchange between business, science, and society – and reinforce Vienna’s profile as a hub of innovation.
